BlackBerry Spy News: Mobile Spy BlackBerry Spy Software To Be Released Soon
Posted by: | Comments
In a few days, Mobile Spy will announce the release of their BlackBerry spy software.
Yesterday, I received an email from the team over at Mobile Spy informing me that they are just about ready to take the covers off this long anticipated product. According to the email, they are a “few days” away to making an official announcement.
Here is a screen shot that was sent to me. I can’t make out what features are being described, but it looks like installation instructions, which is definitely proof that they are very close to a release.

I feel having another BlackBerry spy phone vendor is a great thing for the overall BlackBerry spy market. Right now, if you want to spy on a BlackBerry, your only choice is to purchase BlackBerry spy software from Flexispy. Although Flexispy makes fantastic spy phone software, it’s always nice to have competition in the market. Not only will this make the pricing for BlackBerry spy software a bit more competitive, it will also force both companies to work on releasing new features to stay one step ahead of each other.
I don’t have the specific details of Mobile Spy’s BlackBerry spy software, but I do know that it will NOT have the ability to spy on BlackBerry’s messenger service. This is something that continues to be missing from the BlackBerry spy features available from both Flexispy & Mobile Spy. However, I do know that Mobile Spy’s BlackBerry spy software will offer very similar spy phone features as Flexispy does. Which one will end up being the better choice? Only time will tell. Once Mobile Spy makes an official announcement, I’ll be sure to grab a copy, test it out, and write a detailed Mobile Spy BlackBerry spy review.
In terms of pricing, I’m guessing it will be very similar to what Mobile Spy charges for their other spy phone software. Annual pricing is $99.97, which also includes a full year of their award winning PC spy software called Sniper Spy. I really like this combo, because for a few cents shy of a hundred bucks, you get software to monitor a cell phone AND a PC. Keep in mind that I’m just making an assumption based on their spy phone pricing for the iPhone, Nokia, & Windows Mobile devices. Mobile Spy usually prices their software the same across all devices, so I feel this price is a pretty safe assumption.
No word on which BlackBerry phones will be supported or if there will be any issues with CDMA networks. Once details are received, I’ll be sure to write an update to this post.
Best,
SPG
PS> Remember, before you purchase spy phone software, make for sure you will get PHYSICAL access to the target phone. There is NO WAY to install spy phone software remotely. If you read somewhere that you can purchase spy phone software with remote installation, it’s a SCAM. Trust me on this.

Flexispy BlackBerry Spy Phone Review
I receive a lot of emails asking me which spy phone software works on Blackberry phones. Most questions center around the following:
- “Can you really spy on a Blackberry using spy phone software?”
- “Where do you buy BlackBerry spy phone software? How much does it cost?”
- “Is Blackberry spy software worth the money?
- “Do I need access to the Blackberry to install Blackberry spy software?”
In this Flexispy BlackBerry spy phone review, I’ll answer all these spy phone questions, and give my opinion if you should purchase Blackberry spy software (currently sold by Flexispy), or look for alternative ways to become a Blackberry cell phone spy.
I’ll start with a “Quick” summary of the entire spy phone review, then move into the details.

FLEXISPY BLACKBERRY SPY PHONE REVIEW
Flexispy BlackBerry spy software is a mobile application that is installed on the cell phone of a person you want to spy on. Once installed, Flexispy is completely hidden & can only be accessed via a special “key” known only to the person who purchased the software.
HOW DOES FLEXISPY WORK?
Flexispy works by secretly recording mobile phone events such as SMS messages (incoming/outgoing), email activity, call logs (inbound/outbound), location tracking, and secretly uploads this data to an online web a ccount. You then simply log into your secure web account and view all the cell phone data uploaded. Now you have easy access to all cell phone activity of your cheating spouse, teen, employee, etc. accessible 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Here is specific details of each spy phone feature.

- SMS Interception – Secretly read all SMS messages sent and received from the Blackberry you are spying on. The great thing about this, is that y ou get full contents of both sides of the conversation. You also get to see who the phone number the SMS message is linked to in the address book. SMS is becoming one of the primary ways we quickly communicate with our cell phones, so if your spouse is cheating, eventually they will slip and say something via SMS. Once they do, you’ll get to see everything that is said.
- Cell ID Location Tracking – This cool spy phone feature spy will give you the ability to track the Blackberry’s location by tracking the network ID location that is used by the BlackBerry at that point in time. Definitely not as accurate as GPS, but at least you’ll get an approximate location, versus not having a clue where they might be.
- Email Logging – One of the great features of a BlackBerry is how easy it is to type a quick email to someone. Although most likely the person you are spying on will be using SMS messages for all the little romantic chat, it’s nice to be able to get access to their email messages as well. With this feature, you will.
- Call History (with call duration) – Now you can find who is calling and best of all, who they are calling. You will find out when and who (based on the name stored in the Blackberry’s address book). You can then use any of the popular reverse look up service, to find out the full name and address of the person who owns the number, if you need to do a bit more investigation work. In addition, you’ll get to see the actual call duration so you’ll know how long they are talking to the other person.
- Remote Monitoring – Available ONLY on Flexispy PRO, this feature turns a BlackBerry into a remote listening device. All you do is send a special SMS command to the target device, and the microphone secretly is activated. You will now be able to listen in on the BlackBerry’s surroudings.
Summary: Flexispy’s BlackBerry spy phone software has all the features you’ll need to catch a cheating spouse, monitor your teen, or keep tabs on employees.
INSTALLATION
Installation is pretty easy actually. It will require you to get access to the target phone. Keep this in mind. You MUST HAVE ACCESS TO THE TARGET PHONE IN ORDER TO INSTALL FLEXISPY. I placed that last sentence in caps because I get that question asked about 50 times a day. There is no way you are going to install Flexispy into the BlackBerry, or any other cell phone if you dont have physical access to the phone. Just part of the game I guess. If you don’t think you will have at least a good 7-10 minutes alone with the target phone, then perhaps you should look for alternative ways to spy.
To install Flexispy, all you have to do is the following:
- Once you complete the Flexispy purchase, check your email for the purchase confirmation email from Flexispy. This email will contain both a web URL that will contain your download, and a Flexispy serial number (called a Flexikey).
- Open the BlackBerry’s internet browswer and enter in a short web address.
- You will then see a web page where you enter the serial number. After entering your key, select ‘download’ and installation will begin automatically.
- Now you will have to adjust a few permission settings, which are detailed in the installation guide. Nothing difficult, you just have to allow a few things such as connecting to the internet and sending SMS messages.
- Now that you have downloaded Flexispy into the Blackberry, and also have adjusted the permission settings, your next step is ‘Activate’ Flexispy by entering in a series of secret keys and typing in your registration number.
Thats about it. You can now run a ‘test’ to see if everything is working. The only other thing you might want to do is change the SMS control commands to something that you can remember. Flexispy has a real nice feature that allows you to control the remote phone via secret SMS commands. You can start/stop capturing data, and send diagnostic data to determine if Flexispy is working correctly. Flexispy comes with a series of default commands, however you can customize these commands if you wish.
Overall, the good thing with Flexispy is that they provide very detailed installation instructions, and their support staff is always available around the clock to help. I do recommend that you go through the instructions a few times before trying to install Flexispy. This will give you an opportunity to ask Flexispy’s customer support to clarify anything you are not clear on.
Summary: Flexispy is not difficult to install thanks to the detailed intallation instructions provided. You will need direct access to the target device, but if you can get the BlackBerry away from your target for around 10 minutes, you’ll have plenty of time to install & set up Flexispy. Also, thanks to Flexispy’s remote SMS commands, you’ll never have to get physical access to the phone again.
USING FLEXISPY
Using Flexispy is super easy. All you basically do is sit back and log into your secure online web account and view the reports that are uploaded.
Here is a snapshot of how a report looks which shows all the incoming/outgoing voice calls. The ‘Type’ indicates its a voice call, the ‘Direction’ shows if its an incoming or outgoing call, the ‘Duration’ shows length of call, ‘Mobile Time’ shows the time on the mobile when the call was placed, and the ‘Server Time’ is the time of the Flexispy server.

Here is an example of a report showing the details of an email message. You will see the time, direction of the email (incoming/outgoing), size, contact name as specified in the address book, subject line, and full contents.

As you can see, Flexispy gives you all the information you will ever need to ensure your spouse is not cheating, or your teens (or employees) are not doing anything they are not supposed to.
Summary: Using Flexispy is super easy. All you need to do is just log into your secure web account using any internet connect device, and you now have access to all data that is uploaded from the BlackBerry.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT
In the past, I was really negative of Flexispy. I heard so many horror stories of people who had terrible experiences with Flexispy’s support team. Anyone who has read my Squidoo Lens on the top spy phones, knows that I rated Flexispy last for almost a year. I advised people against buying Flexispy, and had Mobile Spy as my #1 choice. However, the team behind Flexispy have completely turned their support team around. They now offer a variety of customer support choice such as:
- Live Customer Support (24 hours a day)
- Skype Chat
- Knowledge Base
- FAQ
- Flash Movies
- Direct Telephone Numbers (USA, UK, & Hong Kong)
As you can see, they got real serious about customer support and now offer more customer support options than any other spy phone vendor. They are now the #1 rated spy phone vendor in terms of customer support. No other vendor comes close.
Summary: Nobody beats Flexispy when it comes to support, in fact, they offer more support options than probably more than half of all the e-commerce sites on the web.
FLEXISPY LIGHT OR PRO? WHICH ONE?
So which BlackBerry spy version should you buy? Flexispy Light or Flexispy PRO? Here is a quick overview of the features. You will see that both versions are almost identical.

The only difference between the PRO version (which retails for $199 USD) & the Light version ($149 USD) is the remote monitoring feature. Yes, this is a real cool feature, but in my tests, I ran into too many problems of either it not working, or crashing the phone. I contacted Flexispy and raised this issue. They advised me that they are currently working feverishly on this fix, and advised me that a new release will be available soon that will make this feature much more stable. Until this update is released, I’d stick with Flexispy Light. You get everything you’ll need to spy on a BlackBerry and it’s also $49 bucks cheaper. ![]()
Summary: Until Flexispy PRO resolves the stability issues I found in my tests, stick with Flexispy Light.

Happy New Year!
Now that 2008 is behind us, what new spy phone products will be released in 2009? Here is a list of new products that I’ve confirmed with various spy phone vendors, that are currently in development and/or scheduled to be released very soon. I’ll be writing about these spy phone products in much more detail in the coming weeks & months.
–> Cell Phone Spy Software Coming In 2009 <–

ANDROID G1 SPY PHONE
Yes, there are a couple spy phone vendors working on spy software for the new Android OS by Google. Right now, the only phone available using Android is the G1, which is sold by T-Mobile. Not much information currently available, but I’m assuming all the basic spy phone features will be offered such as sms interception, GPS tracking, call logging & email logging. Future versions will have remote call monitoring and live call interception.

BLACKBERRY SPY PHONE (STORM & BOLD)
I’ve confirmed that you will soon be able to by spy phone software for both the Blackberry Storm & Blackberry Bold. Specific Blackberry Spy features are a bit fuzzy right now, but SMS & email interception (outgoing/incoming), call logging (find out who is calling them and who they are calling on their Blackberry), & GPS tracking will be available when the spy software is launched. Future releases will most likely have remote call monitoring.
In addition to Storm & Bold support, Blackberry spy software sold by Flexispy will support the Verizon & Sprint networks. Right now, you are unable to spy on Blackberries that are on Verizon or Sprint, since they are on CDMA networks, but that will soon change. According to the guys over at Flexispy, Verizon & Sprint support will be announced soon.

BLUETOOTH SPY SOFTWARE
Although I’ve been against the current bluetooth spy software currently sold by E-Stealth, Phone Stealth, Big Daddy & others (for reasons I’ll report on this blog soon), there are a couple spy phone vendors currently working on new versions of software that will enable bluetooth spying. Initial releases will only work on the Motorola RAZR & Sony Phones, but at least the software will actually work as advertised. Not sure what the features will includes, but at least you’ll be able to read SMS and call logs. Beyond that, I have no idea.

IPHONE (2G/3G) SPY SOFTWARE
iPhone (2G) Spy Phone – As reported earlier on my blog, Flexispy will have spy phone software available soon for the earlier iPhones. Currently, spy phone software for the iPhone, is only available for the 3G iPhones. The iPhone 2G Spy software, was originally scheduled to be available in late December, but has been pushed back to mid January 2009.
iPhone Spy Phone v2.0 – In 2009, you can also expect additional spy phone features offered by both Mobile Spy & Flexispy. These new features will include live GPS tracking, accessing the photos in the phone, remote call monitoring, & remotely controlling the iphone’s camera to secretly snap photos.
That’s about it for now. Remember, once I get more information on any of the above new spy phone products, I’ll write more detailed reviews.
Once again, Happy New Year!

Obama & His Blackberry Spyphone?
Posted by: | CommentsGreat article over at PC World about the dangers of CEOs (including President Elect Barack Obama’s love for his Blackberry) being exposed to mobile spyware.
The article mentions how mobile is the least secure medium, but I’d have to disagree. There are lot more spyware applications for PCs (PC spy programs such as Sniper Spy or USB key loggers such as KeyGhost) available to purchase, compared to mobile spyware programs such as Flexispy or Mobile Spy.
Another reason is the fact that EVERY type of mobile spyware out there, requires you to have physcial access to the mobile phone in order to install the cell phone spyware. However, with PC spyware, you do not need physical access to the PC. You can easily install these programs remotely by wrapping the spy program into an image, video clip, mp3, Excel or Word doc. Installation takes seonds versus minutes for cell phone spyware.
In summary, I feel no matter what Obama decides to do with his Blackberry, or whichever medium corporate CEOs choose to use as his/her primary communication device, beinge exposed to spyware is a real possiblity, but due to the requirement that physical access to a mobile phone is required to install cell phone spyware, I feel a mobile phone is the much better communicaton choice compared to a PC.
What are your thoughts?
