In this comparison between MobiStealth PRO & Flexispy PRO, you can see they are pretty much even. However, MobiStealth offers a couple new features not yet available on Flexispy. The first is being able to remotely view pictures stored on the BlackBerry, and the other is viewing the contact details. If you add these two features with a price point that is much more affordable, MobiStealth looks to be a solid buy.
WHICH ONE TO BUY?
If you are wondering which one to buy, it's hard to argue against buying MobiStealth when you compare it against both Flexispy & Mobile Spy. MobiStealth LIGHT & PRO offer more features for less money. The only situations where I can see choosing the others over MobiStealth are:
1) You need live call monitoring . If you need to secretly listen in on live calls, Flexispy's PRO-X is your only option. No other BlackBerry spy app exists that has a live call monitoring feature. Priced at $349 USD, it's not cheap, but you definitely get what you pay for.
2) You need both PC & mobile monitoring. If you need to spy on and monitor BlackBerry & PC, then Mobile Spy might be a good choice to consider. For less than $100 bucks, you get a BlackBerry spy app and PC spy software. This is a great “one-two” punch that some people might want to get a more complete picture of their target's activities.

If you are in the market for BlackBerry spy software, you might want to hold off for a few days. I just got news of a new BlackBerry spy app that will be released in the next 24-72 hours. I don't have all the details, but I do know that it will be competitively priced, and will also include some features not found on the other BlackBerry spy software sold by companies such as Flexispy & Mobile Spy.
A couple things I have confirmed is that this new BlackBerry spy software will support OS v5.0. In addition, it will have a feature where you can remotely retrieve photos from the BlackBerry. This is on top of all the standard spy phone features such as reading text messages, gps tracking, reading call logs, etc.
Not sure the other spy features, because OSv5.0 support and retrieving pics were the only ones I've been able to confirm from the vendor.
As soon as I get more information, or when the product is released, I'll post an update. For the time being, I would hold off buying BlackBerry spy software until this new product is released. Once it's released, you can then make a good comparison before you make your purchase decision.

FlexiSHIELD
I first wrote about FlexiSHIELD in December 2008. Back then it was just another product from the team behind Flexispy. Not much more was written about it, and I don't think many people snatched it up. However, with the recent buzz that Tiger Text has received, products such as FlexiSHIELD are now coming into the spotlight. I've decided to dust off my previous FlexiSHIELD review from Dec 08, and compare it against Tiger Text.
WHAT IS FLEXISHIELD
FlexiSHIELD is an application that is used to hide (shield) all communication activity. This includes such things as the ringing of an incoming text message or phone call from certain contacts in your cell phone's address book — that you've set to shield. If you set a specific number to be shielded from public view, all their text messages, calls , MMS messages, & Email are silently diverted to a secret hidden area on your phone that only you can access. No more worrying about someone snooping through your phone and coming across private and/or sensitive data. With FlexiSHIELD, privacy is now back in your hands.
In other words, FlexiSHIELD enables you to have complete control which calls and other forms of communication are allowed to appear on your cell phone. Only you can access the call information, which means that when using FlexiSHIELD, you can have TOTAL peace of mind knowing the communication you want to keep private, remains private.
FlexiSHIELD features include the following:
- Shield Mode – Hide all activity (such as MMS, text messages, and call history) from specified contacts. This is where it all happens. None of the communication received from the contacts you specify will appear. Only YOU have access to the data.

FlexiSHIELD vs. TIGER TEXT
There are obvious similarities between FlexiSHIELD and Tiger Text. Both apps enable someone to keep their communications private. Tiger Text relies strictly in text message privacy , whereas FlexiSHIELD is total cell phone privacy . If you compare all the features of both apps, it's quickly obvious which product provides the most ultimate in cell phone privacy.
TEXT MESSAGE PRIVACY – Tiger Text prevents someone from reading your text messages by automatically deleting them once they are read. Users can determine how long the messages stay active, before they are deleted forever. FlexSHIELD prevents someone from reading your text messages by secretly diverting them to a hidden area on your cell phone which only YOU can access.
IT TAKES TWO TO TANGO – In order to use Tiger Text , both users must have it installed on their cell phones. This means if the other person you are talking to has a BlackBerry or Android cell phone, you won't be able to use Tiger Text. According to Tiger Text's website, they are currently working on support for both Android & BlackBerry, but no release date has been given. FlexiSHIELD does not require both users to have the product installed. This means it doesn't matter the type of cell phone used by the other person. They can send you a text message using an Android, BlackBerry, or iPhone, and all their messages will be hidden from view once it reaches your phone.
UNDETECTABLE – Tiger Text’s icon appears on your phone. This is bad news if someone who you are hiding text messages from goes through your phone and asks why you have Tiger Text installed. FlexiSHIELD is 100% undetectable, so you can leave your cell phone laying around and even if someone goes through all your apps, they will not find any traces of FlexiSHIELD.
SUPPORTED CELL PHONES – This is where it gets a bit difficult to compare the products. Tiger Text works ONLY on the iPhone, with future versions of BlackBerry and Android in the works. FlexiSHIELD works ONLY on Symbian and Windows Mobile phones. It will be nice when Tiger Text supports Symbian and Windows Mobile and when FlexiSHIELD supports iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android. This would enable me to make a fair comparison between the two. Unfortunately, all I can do is only compare features of each product, irrespective of the operating system.
SUMMARY
In my personal opinion, FlexiSHIELD is the better product. FlexiSHIELD doesn't delete the messages, but will keep instead hide all text messages, MMS messages, and call history from public view. This means you, and only you, have access to the messages if you ever need to go back and grab some info off a previously sent or received message. Moreover, FlexiSHIELD does not require that both you and the other person have FlexiSHIELD installed. As long as you have FlexiSHIELD installed on your cell phone, your own personal cell phone, all communication from contacts that you've identified will be 100% shielded and will not appear anywhere on your cell phone.
This is where FlexiSHIELD shines, because Tiger Text has absolutely no protection if the other person whose communication you are trying to keep secret, calls or sends an MMS to you. Imagine if you are “sneaking around” and the “other” person decides to call you or send a MMS. Busted. Or image if you are leave your phone in your office and your bf/gf sends a intimate MMS to your phone? In both situations, Tiger Text offers zero protection because it's limited to only text messages versus FlexiSHIELD which covers all communication.
It's for these reasons that I feel FlexiSHIELD is the superior product. I just wish they had FlexiSHIELD for the iPhone, because even though FlexiSHIELD easily comes out on top, you wouldn't be able to buy it if you owned an iPhone.

iPad Spy App Coming Soon?
As the iPad gets close to its April 3rd shipping date, an increasing number of readers are asking if it will be possible to install an iPad spy app on the device, much in the same way as you can install an iPhone spy app on an iPhone .
As most of you know, the iPad is essentially a real big iPhone/iPad (minus the camera), which means the iPad can run all the same apps. Moreover, the iPad has a data connection (WiFi / 3G) which is the most important feature required by a future iPad spy app. The reason is in order to install a spy app on either an iPhone or an upcoming iPad, the user will have to download the app via the iPad's web browser. It's the Tiger Text vs. iPhone Spy App show down. 
Over the past few days, there has been a considerable amount of news about a new cheating spouse app for the iPhone called Tiger Text . Although Tiger Text definitely looks like a fun app, a cheating spouse hoping to use Tiger Text to carry on an affair wont stand a chance if their spouse has installed an iPhone spy app on their iPhone.
Before I get into all the reasons why Tiger Text will actually HELP a suspicious spouse catch a cheater (versus helping the cheating spouse carry on an affair), here is an overview of what Tiger Text is, and how it works.
WHAT IS TIGER TEXT & HOW DOES IT WORK?

Tiger Text is an iPhone app that advertises itself as a tool to help people “cover their tracks” that are left when sending traditional text messages. What Tiger Text does is enable a cheating spouse to send text messages between the “other person” (who is also using Tiger Text) and not worry about the text message being found by someone else — because messages sent via Tiger Text will essentially self destruct within a specified timeframe.
When you send a text message using Tiger Text, the content of your message is never sent to the recipient's phone as it does when you send a standard text message. Since the message doesn't reside on the recipient's phone, but rather stored on Tiger Text's servers, you are given full control when the messages are deleted from Tiger Text's servers.

As you can see from the screen shots above, once the messages are gone, they are gone. You can set messages to 'Delete On Read' or set your own time limit such as 2 hours, 4 hours, etc. A few other tidbits of information are that both users must have Tiger Text installed (there is a free reader if the other person doesn't want to buy Tiger Text), and if a message is set to expire at a specified time period and it's not read, then its gone forever. Pricing for Tiger Text is FREE for the first 100 messages or 15 days (whichever comes first), and then its $1.49 per 250 messages sent per month or $2.49 per month for unlimited messages. Currently the iPhone is the only supported device, but there are now plans for BlackBerry and Android versions later this year.
The developer of the app says that using Tiger Text will help you cover your tracks, and I agree 100%. It will help someone cover their tracks who is using Tiger Text to send text messages. However, if a suspicious spouse has secretly installed an iPhone spy app on their spouse's iPhone, then its game over. The cheating spouse will get caught. I'm 100% sure of it, for the reasons below.
Here are my 5 reasons why Tiger Text will actually HELP catch a cheating spouse (and NOT help a cheating spouse carry on an affair).
#1) Live Call Tapping – iPhone spy apps such as Flexispy PRO-X enable a suspicious spouse to secretly listen in on calls. Even if their spouse is using Tiger Text to communicate, at some point they will talk to them on the phone. When they do, the suspicious spouse can secretly tap into the call and listen in to what is going on.
#2) Stealth GPS Tracking - Ok, so someone uses Tiger Text's cheating spouse app to arrange a secret meeting with the “other” person. Perhaps it's during a work day and they are supposed to be in meetings all day (thats their story), or maybe they are supposed to be on the east side of town versus the west side. Regardless of where they are supposed to be, what they end up doing is using Tiger Text to meet up someplace thinking their spouse will never know. Unfortunately for them, an iPhone spy app has stealth GPS tracking (available on Mobile Spy & all versions of Flexispy ). This means when they are at their secret meeting, their spouse will know exactly where they are and will be able to track them down. So much for covering your tracks.
#3) Remote Monitoring - This is similar to the item above, but with a bit more drama thrown in. A cheating spouse can use Tiger Text all they want to arrange a secret meeting, but with an iPhone spy app, their spouse can perform a spy call (only available on Flexispy PRO & PRO-X) and remotely turn on the iPhone and listen in on the iPhone's surroundings. Now all the spouse has to do is perform a reverse cell phone look up to find out who owns the number. Busted.
#5) Tiger Text itself – Tiger Text is a victim of its own success. There has been an enormous buzz surrounding Tiger Text since it was released. The news has hit not only the tech blogs and news sites, but also all the traditional media outlets such as CNN, NY Times, etc.. which means if a cheating spouse thinks Tiger Text is going to be their savior, they are in for a big surprise because if they've heard of it, most likely their spouse has as well. What will their excuse be when their spouse flips through their icons and sees a big orange 'Tiger Text' icon on their phone. I'd like to see someone explain to their spouse the reasons for needing an app the deletes messages that they don't want other people to read. Furthermore, if the “other” person wants to collect evidence, all they have to do is take a screen shot (power button + home button) before the message is deleted, and they will have the evidence they need to be used in any way they want.
In summary, in my opinion Tiger Text is more of a novelty app. It's something you show your friends, joke about at parties, etc., but it's not something that will help a cheating spouse carry on an affair, especially if their spouse has secretly installed an iPhone spy app on their iPhone. If that's the case, the only thing Tiger Text will do is only give the cheating spouse a false sense of security and most likely just expedite the inevitable day of when they are caught. When that happens, they'll find themselves giving their own version of a public apology to their family for their indiscretions.
