Spy Phone Guy's 2010 Spy Phone Predictions

HAPPY NEW YEAR! It’s time again for my predictions of what spy phone products we could see in 2010.  Some of the products and spy phone features are definitely on the way, and others I’ve only heard “whispers” about from various sources, while some are just wild guesses on my part. :)

TOP 5 THINGS TO LOOK FOR IN 2010

1) MORE ANDROID SPY APPS

Android Spy Apps

More Android spy software will hit the market in 2010. By the middle of this year, we’ll have at least 3-4 different spy phone vendors selling Android spy software. As the popularity of Android devices continue to increase, more spy phone vendors will rush out to create Android spy apps.  I’ve already come across one new Android spy phone product that I’m currently reviewing, and more are on the way.  Another thing causing a lot of buzz is the recent release of Google’s Nexus One phone. If Google puts some of their billions into a massive online marketing campaign, we could see an insane number of people using the Nexus One phone, which means a lot of people will be looking for Nexus One spy apps.  This will be yet another incentive for more companies to create Android spy apps.

2) BLACKBERRY MESSENGER SPY SOFTWARE

BlackBerry Messenger Spy

A release date on this has not been confirmed by anyone yet, but I know several companies are looking into a way to spy on BlackBerry messenger conversations.  As any BlackBerry addict knows, using BlackBerry messenger to chat with people is one of the most addicting features of a BlackBerry. Current BlackBerry spy phone software enables you to do just about anything, EXCEPT spy on BlackBerry messenger conversations. If spying on BlackBerry messenger conversations is found out to be technically possible, I’m predicting we’ll see this spy feature released this year.

3) PALM SPY APPS

Palm Pre Spy Apps | Spy Apps For Palm Pre

Although I personally don’t think we’ll see any spy apps for Palm devices, the Palm Pre and other phones Palm is planning to release in 2010 could create enough users that might motivate a spy phone developer to create Palm spy phone software.  A few people in the industry have mentioned it, but nothing has been confirmed. When I look at my web stats on how people find my blog, I do see a lot of ‘Palm Pre spy apps’ searches, which means people are definitely interested in spy software for Palm cell phones. However, I don’t think the market is big enough yet for the investment required to develop spy phone software for Palm devices.

4) PARENTS TRACKING THEIR CHILDREN.

Parents Tracking Their Kids Cell Phone Use

As spy phone software becomes more mainstream, I feel this year we will start to see a lot more spy phone apps built exclusively for parents who want to monitor their kids cell phone use.  Although existing spy phone apps do target concerned parents, the software is not really built exclusively for parents. The software is still hidden and there are not any features that are built for parents who want to protect their kids. Being alerted when your children go out of a “safe zone” (that you created via an online map) or possibly a feature where kids can silently trigger an alarm that secretly notifies their parents and police, are just a few of the features I feel parents would want. I understand that there are companies out there that target software to protect kids, but they don’t do a good enough job. Their pricing structure (most charge a monthly fee, which is a rip off), the way you sign up for their services, cell phones supported, features, etc. are just some of the problems with the existing companies. In 2010, things will change, and we should start to see a lot more companies enter this space.

5) BLUETOOTH SPY SOFTWARE & OTHER SPY PHONE SCAMS

Spy Phone Scams

It’s no secret. I’m not a fan of bluetooth spy software. If the it worked as advertised, then I think it would be a fantastic product. Who wouldn’t want a bluetooth spy phone product that had no range limitation, didn’t require that you “pair” the devices, and is used by the CIA and FBI.  Unfortunately, the software doesn’t work, but one thing it does do well is piss off a lot of people who purchase it and find out that not only does it not work as advertised, but they can’t get their money back.  I know that this year we’ll continue to see people purchase this type of software, and that means we’ll continue to see even more people who start to believe the entire spy phone industry is a scam, and that none of the products work. Every software will have problems, but in more than 90% of the cases, spy phone software sold by the industry leaders work as advertised, unlike the bluetooth spy software that simply does not work ad advertised on their websites.  Another problem we’ll see in 2010, is the increased amount of spy phone scams. Last year we saw the MMS Phone Interceptor, and this year I’m sure we’ll see a few more.

That’s about it for now. Once I get more information on any of the above new spy phone software products, I’ll write more detailed reviews.

Once again, Happy New Year!

Spy Phone Guy's 2009 Year In Review

FLASHBACK AND WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2010

Not sure how you felt, but 2009 went by real fast. Feels like just yesterday, I was celebrating the dawn of 2009. Lots of exciting stuff occurred in the spy phone industry last year. Spy phone vendors continued to release updates to their software, new features were added, new phone types were supported, and we even saw a new spy phone scam hit the market. Overall, it was a good year for the industry, and 2010 looks to be even better.

Before I get into my 2009 year end review, I’d like to give everyone a bit of insight into what changes will occur with this blog.

I initially created this blog to provide a place where spy phone news and reviews could be reported. I started to report on the spy phone industry in early 2006 via mostly on forums and a small Squidoo lens I set up.  I decided that I wanted my own place to hang out and report on the spy phone industry, so that led me to launch this site.  This was in December of 2008, and back then the spy phone industry was still under the radar, so there were not so many people looking for spy phone software. However, in the past year, the buzz has taken off and now it seems spy phone software has hit the mainstream press, so awareness has sky rocketed.

With more people looking for spy phone software, I realized last year that instead of reporting only on spy phone news, what people are really after is more information on how to purchase spy phone software, spy phone reviews, and just overall information on how the stuff works. I receive almost 100 emails a day now from people around the world, and the majority of these emails are asking for assistance, advice, etc. This means that what this site is lacking, is information to help people make the right purchase decision, and of course not get scammed in the process.  :)

With that being said, what I plan to do this year is the following:

1) More “How To” information. You’ll start to see more posts that are focused on commonly asked questions I’m seeing in emails and forum posts. I’ll still of course report on new products, but I’ll definitely start to add in more “how to” information.

2) More frequent posts. I’m going to do my best to write a new blog post every Monday & Friday. Most likely, I’ll have posts mixed in during the week when specific news hits, but at least there will now be a set schedule on when new posts will occur.

3) You’ll start to see more Q & A categories. Right now, there is a single ‘Spy Phone Q & A’ section that you can access via the top header. This will still be a place where you can see all the Q & A posts, but I’ll now have additional categories that allow you to filter down to a specific phone type such as iPhone, BlackBerry, etc. In addition, I’ll have categories such as Installation Q & A, Set Up Q & A, etc.

4) More spy phone reviews. Another big improvement will be the addition of more reviews. I set up a site called Cell Spy Reviews a month ago where people can post their own experience using spy phone software. So far the feedback has been very positive, which means there is a demand for reviews on various spy phone products.

5) I’ll start to reply to more emails, forums posts, and comments. I currently dedicate 10 hours a week to emails and forum posts, but I’ve realized that I need to double this if I’m ever going to be able to get back to everyone.

Thank you for being a reader and for the trust you’ve placed in me as your resource for spy phone software news and information. Hope you have a great 2010.

2009 YEAR IN REVIEW: THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY

Lets get started!

THE GOOD!

Lots of good stuff happened last year. Here are a few of the top stories that kept the spy phone industry buzzing.

1) Flexispy Released PRO-X For iPhone & BlackBerry. Flexispy PRO-X is Flexispy’s top of the line spy phone software.  What makes this version of Flexispy so unique, is the Call Intercept feature that is exclusive to Flexispy. Using Flexispy PRO-X, you can listen in on live calls as they occur. No more reading text messages & emails to figure out what is really going on. Using Flexispy PRO-X, you can listen in on live calls, so you’ll hear the actual conversations as they occur. This version was only available for Windows Mobile & Symbian cell phones, but Flexispy released support for BlackBerry & iPhone in the middle to end of last year.

2) Android Spy Software Hits The Market. Last year some of the most talked about cell phones were running on Google’s new Android OS. Motorola Droid, HTC Dream, HTC Magic, HTC Hero, My Touch 3G, & the Motorola Cliq. Mobile Spy beat everyone to the market with the world’s first spy phone software for Android based cell phones.  Starting at only $49.97, Mobile Spy’s Android software offered all the must have spy phone features such as text message interception, viewing call logs (incoming & outgoing), and stealth GPS tracking. Their timing was fantastic, because their announcement came when Motorola was going nuts promoting their new Droid cell phone with a ‘Droid Does’ campaign. This gave me a great opportunity to add a bit of humor and create a ‘Droid Does Spying‘ post.

Releated Posts:

3) Spy Phone Software Becomes More Affordable. Flexispy introduced various pricing options for their iPhone spy software. This made it a lot more affordable versus their old pricing model.  In the past they had a single price option of $149, $249, & $349.  Towards the end of last year, they decided to reduce some of the functionality for their iPhone version and create a new one called Flexispy Basic, with a price tag of only $39 for a 3 month license.  In addition, Mobile Spy introduced a BlackBerry version which brought down the price substantially for someone looking to purchase BlackBerry spy software.  Flexispy’s BlackBerry version starts at $149, versus Mobile Spy’s 3 month license price of only $49.97.  Great news for anyone on a budget looking for BlackBerry spy software.  Perhaps in 2010 we’ll see Flexispy create a Basic version for the BlackBerry as they did for the iPhone.

Related Posts:

THE BAD!

Bluetooth Spy Software. E-Stealth, Big Daddy Spy, Phone Stealth, & Cell Spy Pro.  These are just some of the companies selling bluetooth spy phone software. The sad thing is that despite repeated warnings by me and a lot of their customers, bluetooth spy software continues to sell in record numbers. I continue to get emails every single day from people absolutely pissed off that the software does not work. The sad thing is that a simple search on Google would uncover numerous complaints.  Perhaps this is just one of those situations where people want to believe in something so much that despite all the warnings signs, they still proceed with it. The ads for bluetooth spy software try to tap into people’s desire to have features that traditional spy phone software does not have such as not having to access or install anything on the target phone.  I have yet to come across a single email from someone who has said anything positive about these products. To top it off, the software being sold is available free on the internet because it was originally developed as a proof of concept to showcase the vulnerability of bluetooth devices, which has now been fixed.

Additional Information:

THE UGLY

Spy Phone Scams. I was torn between putting bluetooth spy software in the ‘Ugly’ category, but decided to crown the ‘MMS Phone Interceptor‘ as the ultimate worst product of 2009.  This scam must have hit a lot of people because anti virus company Symantec reported in their ‘August 2009 State Of Spam’ report that this spy phone scam has quickly become one of the top threats of 2009.  The product is being marketed via email (spam) and other online / offline channels.  The way it works is you send the company money for their spy phone product which requires no installation on a target phone (sound familiar??), only just your own cell phone. Once you install the software, it starts to collect YOUR data versus the target device that you intended to spy on. If you come across this product, stay far away from it.

Take care and Happy New Year.

New Site Design

Posted by: Spyphone Guy | Comments (0)

UPDATE 21-OCT-09

I’ve FINALLY completed the integration of the new layout/design. Hope you like it. :)

My goal was to make it easier to find specific information related to a particular device/topic., which is why I’ve added primary categories to the top header. I’ve also added a video section to the home page (I’m also adding a new spy phone video page in a couple days), expanded the popular & recent post section, added a couple new links, & deleted some of the outdated links.

As always, if you still have any questions after reading the information on this blog, drop me an email.

Thanks again all your support.

SPG

PS> Starting today, I’m going to work on a new post which will explain in detail how to buy spy phone software that is right for you. I’ll upload it sometime before Monday, October 26.

UPDATE 15-OCT-09

I’ve decided on a new layout/design. I’ll work on implementing it over the next week. My apologies if you experience any issues while I make the changes. Everything should be back to normal in a week.

Thanks!

SPG

*********************

I’ll be testing out a few new website designs between October 10-11, 2009.

During this time, you might experience some periodic weirdness.  :-) Perhaps the site might look strange, links might not work, or images could appear to look missing. If you do see any of these things, just wait about 15-20 minutes, and come back. I’m just doing quick little tests, then switching back over to this current design/layout, so the downtime should not be more than 15-20 min per time.

My goal of the new design will be to make it easy for everyone to find exactly what they need versus having to scroll through numerous blog posts. In addition, there are a few new sections I’m working on which will provide a lot more information than what’s currently on the site.

If I can’t decide on a design over the weekend, I’ll give it another go in a few days.

Thanks for all your continued support!!

All the best,

SPG

Spy Phone Scam Alert

Looks like there is an email scam going around targeting people who are looking for spy phone software.

This scam was recently reported on Symantec’s blog in a post called ‘Spying Can Be Dangerous‘ and again in their August 2009, ‘State of Spam’ report.  (You can download the full 10 page PDF report HERE)

The spy phone software being advertised is called the ‘MMS Phone Interceptor‘ and it promises all the standard spy phone features such as:

  • GPS tracking
  • Intercepting text messages
  • Reading call history
  • and REMOTE Installation

It’s the last feature that’s really getting people to bite. The email claims that their software has the ability to remotely install the spy phone software onto the target device by sending a special MMS message to a target phone. However, in order to do this, you are required to first install the so-called “unique MMS phone interceptor loader” on your phone and then execute it.

Once you execute the software program on your phone, the scammers will have access to all the data on YOUR phone.

If you get any email or read an advertisement about this product, do not buy it.

To read the entire email advertisement that is sent out, check out this post over on Spy Phone Forums.

Flexispy iPhone Spy Phone

BREAKING NEWS!

Flexispy Releases New iPhone Spy Phone ‘BUG’ Feature

(21-July-09 UPDATE: Flexispy’s new iPhone spy phone software is now available for purchase and immediate download. The last couple days, I’ve received a lot of emails informing me that they were not able to purchase Flexispy’s new iPhone spy phone software. The details for the new Flexispy iPhone PRO version was on Flexispy’s website, but there was no ‘BUY’ button.  Kind of strange, that there was no way to purchase this new spy phone software, but the good news is that the ‘BUY’ button is now on Flexispy’s website, so if you are looking for iPhone spy phone software, with remote bugging/listening features, then make sure you check it out. Go to Flexispy’s website for more details.)

20-July-09: Flexispy, one of the world’s leading spy phone vendors, announced today that they have released an update to their iPhone spy phone software that enables you to remotely turn on/activate an iPhone’s microphone.

Called the Flexispy iPhone PRO version, Flexispy is the first spy phone vendor in the world to release spy phone technology for the iPhone that remotely controls an iPhone’s microphone to enable someone to secretly listen in on the iPhone’s surroundings. Until now, everyone assumed the iPhone was safe from this type of powerful spy phone software, but it seems like the team over at Flexispy have pulled a rabbit out of their hat and surprised everyone.

How Does This New iPhone Spy Phone Feature Work?

The magic starts with a jailbroken iPhone. (Relax, if the iPhone you want to install Flexispy on is not jailbroken, Flexispy will provide all the details on how to quickly jailbreak the iPhone.) Once the user has their hands on the iPhone, they simply enter in a URL provided by Flexispy to download the spy phone software directly into the iPhone. Installation only takes a few minutes, so you dont have to worry about trying to come up with a reason why you need to borrow your target’s iPhone for several hours.

(One thing I want to point out, is that is a VERY important step. If you cannot get physical access to the iPhone you want to install Flexispy on, then DO NOT purchase it. There is absolutely no way to remotely install Flexispy’s iPhone spy phone software. In fact, there is not a single spy phone vendor in the market today, that offers remote installation of spy phone software.)

Once installed, Flexispy’s iPhone spy software will enable you to call the iPhone and secretly listen to the iPhone surroundings. The spy phone software will also instantly start to transmit data captured on the iPhone to a secure online web account where you can log in and view records from your target’s iPhone. In addition to viewing the logs, you can also perform powerful keyword based searches and view historical and real-time GPS locations on a map. Complete instructions on how to use all these features, especially the remote monitoring spy phone feature, are provided via a detailed Flexispy iPhone spy phone user guide.

Here is a more detailed Flexispy iPhone spy phone feature list:

  • Remote Monitoring.
  • Remote control capability using SMS
  • GPS location tracking. With this feature, you can track the iPhone in real time.
  • Text message interception. Secretly read both incoming and outgoing text messages.
  • Call log interception. Find out who they are calling, and who is calling them.
  • Email interception. Read the contents of their outgoing emails.
  • 10 day money back guarantee.
  • Remote uninstall. This enables you to remotely remove the spy phone software.
  • SIM Change notification. If they change their SIM card, you will be sent their new number.
  • Variety of customer support options such as email, skype, and online videos.
  • Secure online account to access your iPhone spy logs & view GPS location tracking info.

Possible uses and/or situations where you might want to use Flexispy’s iPhone spy phone are:

  • Do you have a teen that you want to secretly check on and “listen in” on what they are up to?
  • Are you suspicious of your spouse when they tell you that they are at work? Want to secretly listen in and see where they really are?
  • Do you have employees who tell you they are at a client’s site and you want to listen in on their surroundings to find out where they really are?
  • Do you want to listen in on a meeting, without anyone finding out?

Supported iPhones?

The following iPhones are supported: 2G, 3G & the new 3GS.

How Much?

The cost for Flexispy’s iPhone PRO version is $249 USD.

Want more information?

If you want to buy Flexispy’s new iPhone spy phone software, go to www.flexispysoftware.com. When you get to the Flexispy website, you will have to click on the green ‘BUY NOW’ button in the Flexispy iPhone box in order to get more information (or purchase) the Flexispy iPhone PRO version.

iPhone Spy Phone Software

The guys over at Mobile Spy announced today that their iPhone spy phone software now supports the new iPhone 3GS.

For those of you who’ve not heard of  iPhone spy phone software (or iPhone spyware as some people call it), Mobile Spy was the first spy phone vendor to support the iPhone. Since the first release late last year, they’ve made numerous improvements in both features and usability. Inital iPhone 3Gs salse reports from Apple are that over one million iPhone 3GS devices were sold in the first three days of launch, which means the iPhone 3GS is definitely a hit.

WHAT DOES MOBILE SPY’S IPHONE SPY SOFTWARE DO?

With Mobile Spy’s iPhone spy phone software for the iPhone 3gS, users can secretly track the iPhones location using stealth GPS tracking technology, read text messages and call history (both incoming & outgoing), all within an online control panel. Mobile Spy’s online control panel is the ONLY secure control panel in the industry. They take your privacy seriously, and providing an SSL secured control panel is proof.

HOW DOES IPHONE SPY PHONE SOFTWARE WORK?

The way Mobile Spy works, is that once a user installs the spy phone software on an iPhone, Mobile Spy then runs in total stealth mode and no mentions of the iPhone spy software are shown on the iPhone 3GS. The spy phone software runs in the background behind all other iPhone applications.  Tasks and activities performed on the iPhone are then logged, and then are silently uploaded to the user’s secure online account.  Spy phone activity logs are viewable in real time immediately after they are recorded including complete contents of text messages, call history and maps of GPS positions.

WHY USE IPHONE SPY PHONE SOFTWARE?

There are a ton of reasons why someone might want to purchase and install Mobile Spy’s iPhone spy software. I guess everyone has their own justification for tracking someone, reading their text messages, etc. Here are a few possible reasons:

  • Catch a cheating spouse.
  • Enforce Acceptable Use and Vehicle Policies.
  • Monitor teens to keep an eye on forbiddon activities.
  • Personal back up of your own text messages and calls.
  • Recovery from theft. If your iPhone is lost or stolen, you can track the location and attempt to recover it.

HOW MUCH? & WHERE TO BUY?

  • 1) Annual License (12 months) for $99.97
  • 2) Semi Annual License (6 months) for $69.97
  • 3) Quarterly License (3 months) for $49.97

To purchase Mobile Spy for the iPhone, go to www.mobile-spy.net

** PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

–>  When you purchase an annual license of the Mobile Spy’s iPhone spy software ($99.97), you get the award winning Sniper Spy PC monitoring software FREE. Sniper Spy is PC spy software that secretly records every keystroke, chat conversation, takes snap shots of the PC, remote installation (you DO NOT need access to the PC you want to spy on) and LIVE PC monitoring. (this enables you to remotely spy on a PC in real time. Download files, view their desktop, look at their browser history, etc.)

Spy Phone Forum

Spy Phone Forum Launched – The #1 resource (soon to be!) for spy phone discussions, tips, news and spy phone reviews is now live!

Just want to share some good news with everyone. Although it’s been a bit quiet lately in the spy phone world, there is a bit of good news. :)

Today I launched a spy phone forum (www.spyphoneforums.com) dedicated to the spy phone industry. My vision for this spy phone forum is a place where everyone can ask questions, share their spy phone experiences, read about the latest spy phone news and reviews (from not only me, but other customers as well), and just talk about anything spy related.

Another reason for launching this spy phone forum is due to the large number of emails I receive on a daily basis. On average, I get about 75 emails a day from people around the world with various spy phone questions. I’d estimate that more than 75% of the questions are similar to what is being asked every day by others, so by having a forum where people can post their questions and read the replies from myself and other people, will benefit everyone who is looking for spy phone software.

Keep in mind, the forum is a bit empty at the moment, but I’m hoping activity will pick up and will start to become a “go to” resource for everyone in the market for spy phone software.

Check it out here —->> Spy Phone Forums

Enjoy!
