I continue to get a lot of emails from people who want to know if it’s possible to install cell phone monitoring and tracking software without actual possession of the phone. I’ve discussed this in the past, but I want to bring it up again because it’s still a question that is asked all the time.
Now this of course does not include hackers and scams out there that attempt to install Trojans, or games you download that have a backdoor to send out usage data. I’m only talking about commercial cell phone monitoring and tracking software that you can purchase online.
There is absolutely no way to install monitoring or tracking apps on a cell phone without physical possession. Why? Because you must install the software directly on the cell phone you want to monitor. In fact, you should NEVER EVER EVER install this type of software on a phone you don’t personally own (or on a phone you don’t have consent to monitor), doing so could land you into big trouble. I get a lot of emails from suspicious spouses that want to monitor their significant other. Unfortunately, most likely violate local, state, and federal laws in your country and you could be subject to civil or criminal penalties. Just don’t do it. It’s not worth the trouble you will most likely get into.
INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
Installing spy phone software is not difficult if you follow the vendor’s instructions. Both have detailed steps with screenshots to help you every step of the way.
Here is a quick overview of the basic steps.
1. You get your hands on the cell phone you want to monitor.
2. Then you fire up the cell’s web browser,
3. Enter the URL provided to you by the spy phone vendor.
4. Download the software, install, & configure.
As you can see, when you take a few steps back, installation is not difficult. However, without physical access to the cell phone, none of the above steps is possible.
Many people ask me how long it will take & if installation is difficult. This is really a tough question to answer. Total installation time should take anywhere from 5 minutes to an hour, but it really depends on your experience level with using cell phone applications, mobile web browser, etc.
One thing I do advise people is that before you even think about installing cell phone monitoring software, take time to go through each step and make sure you understand what each step says to do. If not, send the vendor a quick email and ask them to clarify. It will be a lot less stressful if you thoroughly understand each step.
The good news is that once you do install the software, there should not be any reason to get access to their phone again. In fact, some vendors have remote control features that enables you to control a variety of settings — including removing the software.
So what should you do if you cannot get physical access to the phone? Definitely don’t waste your money on this type of software. I repeat, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I know there are few sites out there claiming that you can remotely install spy phone software for all cell phones such as Android, BlackBerry, or iPhone using technologies such as Bluetooth. Do not believe what they advertise. If you do, its your loss. I’ve received countless emails from people who’ve purchase Bluetooth spy software because they were told having access to the other phone was not necessary. Unfortunately, this is a big lie. Even IF those Bluetooth spy products worked, you’d still need access to the other phone to “pair” the two devices. This is after you’re lucky enough to ever get the software to work.
Bottom line, without physical access to the cell phone, there is absolutely no way you are going to get cell phone monitoring software on it.

Can the spy software be installed on the target phone if they have access id numbers in the phone and I can’t get into it?

Hi,
You need access to the target phone. There is absolutely NO way around this. Without physical access to the target phone, there is no way you are going to install the software. Along with physical access, you also need to be able to get past the PIN number if the user has one.

Sorry, there is not any way to get beyond the PW. You can try to borrow the phone, ask to use it for a bit, or something similar. It will be tough though if they are very protective.

Can the cell phone spyware be installed in any phone (Samsung jukebox)
and does it have to have a web browser installed. What if the phone is used just for basic call and has no extra features?

Anna, which ever software u wanna buy just go to their website first and see which phones the software is compatible with, that answers ur question and derrick’s too..
my question is that is it possible to first download this spy software on our own pc, then using a remote PC hacking software(like the spy phone guy recommended-i think sniper spy or something) get into the targets computer and tell them to plug in their phone (for example blackberry) into the usb port and we could transfer the spy file from their pc into their phone, please tell me if this is possible spyphone guy

I suspect my husband is cheating and I purchased the spy phone software from spybubble, but I don’t think my husband’s phone has access to a web browswer. It is a blackberry pearl 8100, but I don’t think he can access the internet. What if the target phone does not have a web browser option, can the spy phone software still be installed? Is there another way to install the spyware if his phone provider does not have web browsing?

well it is very difficult for many people to get access to the target phone like me.
If you need physical access to the phone how did I see someone with my own two eye use my number and another person makes our phones call each other and recorde our calls he never touched my phone. I had it in my hand the whole time he only asked for my phones number….
How did he use the software he had with out touching our phones physically….he only asked for our numbers on the board then asked use to go to different ends of the hall he had our phones call each other and then recorded it…if the software was not installed physically how did he use it and access our phones….by using our numbers…..
What if you know the password to get into the basic phone but the text messages have a separate code?So, I can download the software and see pictures and phone calls without a code but can I still see the text messages?
No there is no way to gain access to someone’s PIN, you can try to guess by using their birthdate or ss# or something to that fact, however there are no administrative codes and so forth to hack someones PIN to their phone. The PIN is something only the owner of the phone and their carriers computer know, not even customer service rep’s know that info.
although what you can do in some cases is spoof your number and then call their cell phone and making their cell phone think they are calling their own cell number and maybe listen to their messages, however you still will not gain access to their PIN – sorry

Hi. This article was written in January 2010 as far as I can tell. I’m wondering if this has changed. I know that keyloggers can be installed on a home PC by embedding the spyware in a photo via email. Can this same process be used at this point on a cellphone? I ask because my friend has an ex who is a bit.. troublesome. Recently after some other trouble from him, she received a very suspicious text from a number she didn’t know, with an attached picture which she opened not thinking about it. Is it possible for someone to have installed something that could track her calls, texts, keystrokes, etc as of now?

go to google play and install androidlost. then install androidlost jumpstart. then send sms command to hide icon. easy!!!
Is it possible to get the user to execute the install of the spyware without them realizing it? I know it would be very tricky to conceal this process but has someone created software that will execute and run in the background?
In fact this is something different.The software is to be installed on your own phone(monitor phone) not the target phone.Morever software should be compatible with monitor phone.once this is done,you need to call target phone and keep him engaged for a minute or more till their is frequency match between the two.Then target phone’s activities will start refelecting on monitor phone in the shape of sms messages and you will also recieve sms whenever target phone recieves or makes a call.This way you will be listening live conversations going on Target phone when you dial them during the call as frequencies are matched.You do not need any kind of internet connectivity whatsoever.However there are two small things to be done on target phone.You will need to activate call confrencing on target phone and also you will have to allow call forwarding and i think that is so easy to do.Just sms your service provider of target phone activation of call confrencing.Everybody can google what to sms to the service provider as this is a very common feature.The only disadvantage is you cant record calls as their is no internet involved.That is the only function of internet.I hope that should help many.

They have to have internet access and the phone has to be powered on and getting internet access for you to be able to get the data from it. I did this to my cheating husband to get proof so i could confront him. It worked like a charm except the data about his location was wrong. I would be next to him and look at the location and he would be miles away. but the text and call feature worked well and I got the info I needed. If you dont have their password but can get onto gmail.com and figure out their password or reset their password you can unlock their phone using their gmail info. I reset my husbands by having access to his email and having gmail email him a reset link. if you do it and they decide to press charges they can but to me it was worth the risk to find out if he was cheating or not.
