instead of paying for the reverse phone number service, try these free tips for figuring out who the number belongs to:

call the number restricted. if they do not answer, make note of three things.
#1. is there a ringback tone? lots of times you can figure out the sex of the person if it is a girly ringback or a “manly” one (lol couldn’t think of a better term) like if its a rnb female singer, most likely a girl, if its a hardcore rap song, its probably a guy.
#2. is there a voicemail greeting message? that will tell you in a heartbeat if it is a man or woman.
#3. they may or may not say their name. but if they do, you now know who they are.

if they dont answer and there is no ringback or voicemail to go on, keep calling over and over again. they will get mad or curious and answer it. works every time. BUT as i will mention in the next paragraph, it could be the persons significant other answering, angry that someone is calling his wife/her man over and over again restricted. you will not know anything if that happens. keep calling the phone every few days at different times. see who is the main one answering.

if they do answer, you may either listen to them say hello, to see if you can figure out who it is, or atleast know if it is a man or woman. WATCH OUT lots of people don’t answer restricted calls, and lots of people will have their boyfriend or girlfriend amswer it. if it is an innocent friend of your target, they may have their significant other answer, leading you to believe the phone number is the wrong sex, or that persons significant other may get mad over the restricted call coming in and answer it. thats what i USED to do if my man gets a restricted call! so if you think this may be the case, you can try calling the phone once a day or twice a day at different times, to see if this person is the one always answeing the phone.

(and if your man DOES get a restricted call while you are around, the best way to handle it is make him answer it in front of you, and watch and listen. if the restricted caller is the mistress, she is not going to let you know that if you answer your mans phone! she will most likely hang up, and you will miss out on the opportunity to find out who it is.)

if they do not answer, no voicemail, then try going to a payphone, or using a phone at someone elses house (someone not in your mans circle of people) so that it won’t come up as restricted, but they still won’t ever know who it is. they will most likely asnwer it since it is not restricted. you may then either passively listen to the person say hello, or you may go ahead and try these tricks.

you can say, i found this number on my caller id who is this? if they ask who you are, you can make up a name. if the person ever calls your friend back, your friend will not know what the person is talking about, and the caller will think its all a mistake. no harm done. or tell your friend not to answer that number ever.

if you have an IDEA of who the name might be (if youve asked your man/woman what is this number in your phone? and they gave you a name, you need to check it) then call them from a payphone or someone elses phone, and when they answer, just start saying the name you THINK it is, just like you are a friend of theirs. like this.

them “hello?”
you “hey michelle!!”
them “who is this?”
you “oh do i have the wrong number? is this michelle ’smith’?”(make up a last name if you want or don’t say one at all)
then either one of these may happen.
them “no this is michelle anderson.”
or
them “yes this is michelle who is this?”
or
them “no this is not michelle. wrong number.”
